Who doesn’t like to toot their own horn once in a while? The ‘tooting’ however, is so much better when it comes from our past guests. My father, brother, and I stayed at the Quinta Las Acacias for three nights. We were more than impressed with the property – it is absolutely stunning. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and beautiful – decorated in the style of selected Mexican regions. The front desk staff was fantastic. Rocio could not have been more polite and helpful… We had a delicious breakfast every morning, not just a continental breakfast, but a full breakfast. As far as Guanajuato, it is a charming city. I have walked all over the city and have never felt the least bit uncomfortable. My brother and father commented on how clean, safe, and beautiful Guanajuato is. They were concerned about me coming alone (due to bad press in general for Mexico), but when they left they told me that they feel perfectly fine with my staying on alone here. There are numerous shaded and lovely parks and plazas, great shops, and super friendly people here. We will definitely return, and will definitely stay at the Quinta Las Acacias again, as well as refer friends to stay there. Thank you for a wonderful stay!—J. Mason. Maine, USA. July 2009.
We had a wonderful time at Casa De Mita and have already been recommending it to friends and family. We absolutely will return in the future. Everything about this small boutique resort is quite special — very helpful and kind staff, beautiful and comfortable accommodations, fabulous beach, delicious and plentiful food and massages that can’t be beat! The attention to detail of the owner and his team really makes staying at Casa De Mita a wonderful experience. As for traveling to Mexico, we experienced absolutely no issues and would not hesitate to recommend that people travel to your country. While we did have concerns a few months ago, as it got closer we were no longer very concerned at all — nor should other travelers be. Thanks again for your assistance leading up to our trip – we shall return!!”—P. & J. Bailin, USA. June 2009.
Thank you for following up. My wife and I sought out El Careyes for several days of rest and peaceful solitude; and the hotel, the staff, and the beauty of Costalegre exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed having the stunning setting and grounds of the hotel, and we found our room to be spacious with a comfortable master bedroom and bed. Everybody was attentive and eager to be sure all of our needs were met. The staff was friendly matched the service found at any four seasons or Aman resort. Partial to the cuisine the area and the bounty of fresh fish, we were pleased the kitchen would cook off menu and prepare our fresh caught fish…. The bar staff was attentive, and we enjoyed fantastic margaritas. The remote and undeveloped coastline was spectacular, and I enjoyed being able to take an easy couple of hours to fish just off the hotel’s coast line and catch mahi mahi… The hundreds of jumping dolphin, added to our fun as well. The drive was long from PV to be sure, but we loved the beauty of the region, and the people in the small towns we past were friendly and helpful… Even though our espanol es muy malo… Fears of influenza are clearly overblown and we can’t wait to go back and explore this remote corner of mexico again.— J. Thornton, USA. June, 2009.
We have traveled in Mexico, more than 100 times since our honeymoon there in 1955. We have stayed with you four times at the Marquesa, and have never believed the news media and its “hot topic” style of reporting. We love Mexico and will continue to visit as long as we can travel. The stories of crime, flu etc. did not deter us from this trip…we are just prudent, and don’t visit potential problem areas. Thank you and the staff again for a wonderful visit, and until our next time to Queretaro…—Dr. & Mrs. Neuman. USA. June, 2009.
Soledada and I just want you and your people to know how happy we were to get back into our nest in Guadalajara. The ‘little changes’ that you mentioned did not go unnoticed; the new bathrobes and the oval mats at the bedsides, the light fare menu, which we tested and very much enjoyed – and 24 hours, that is real commitment! But t he main endearing signature of Villa Ganz was ever present; the service is still tops. Care and concern coupled with politeness are your trademarks and, for us set Villa Ganz apart. You have achieved a standard that makes guests like us not even consider trying ‘somewhere else’. It is interesting; I walked over to Avenue Vallarta early yesterday morning to get to the bank and passed a new small hotel on the side street just down towards Chapultepec. Naturally I stopped, but I didn’t even poke my nose in the door, which was invitingly open. Why not have a peek, well for me there are two reasons; I am not interested in knowing of anywhere else in Guadalajara and, here is the interesting part – that would have been disloyal. I think that says it all! We are looking forward to being with you more often and soon.—B. Bradshaw. June, 2009.
We had an absolute wonderful time at Xaloc Resort. You and all of your staff were efficient and kind to us. Always willing to help and make us feel at home. Thank you too for the great fruit basket and thoughtful card. We will most certainly return, only with many friends and the hope of getting all of your beautiful beachfront rooms!… thank you again for a lovely stay. I know the fears are keeping others away (but we did enjoy the quiet!). everywhere we went the hotels had the same story that tourism was down. — C. & M. Nixon, USA. June 2009.
We had a wonderful time at El Careyes— thank you! We always felt VERY safe while at the resort. Never once did we feel that we were in danger. The airport was clean and the service staff there was very friendly. Our driver, Raul, was very courteous and drove very safely to and from the Manzinillo airport and the resort. Once in the resort, we never left except to explore Costa Careyes homes and the Blue Crocodile restaurant- the reason we never left the resort was because we had no desire to. Everything we wanted was already there. We loved that aspect of El Careyes, the secluded and intimate feeling we got from the location and the staff. We were sad to leave our new found friends and reflected on notion that the resort staff does such a great job at engaging with each guest. We were lucky enough to have suite 20 which seems to be the postcard picture suite and enjoyed it´s offerings immensely. Having stayed at the Ritz, the Four Seasons, Mandarin Oriental, I can say that El Careyes is in-line with other high-end offerings. A great delight and would love to do it again. Thanks again, we will surely (and have already) recommended El Careyes to others.—J. Lamour, USA. April, 2009.
Visiting Holbox was beyond our expectations! In the nurturing presence of Bertha and the personable staff she and Sandra employ (CasaSandra) I felt at peace. The island was like a nest, safe and comfy, with all the beauties of nature to enjoy. I will happily return”—J. Phillips, USA. March, 2009.
Earlier this year we flew south of the border to a little-known destination in Sonora, the state located in the northwestern corner of Mexico. Our memories of Hacienda de los Santos resort and spa are so strong and so vibrant that we doubt we will ever stop telling our flying friends about this destination…—S.W. Ells. Aircraft Owner Elite. March, 2009.
…We had a lovely trip and absolutely loved Hacienda San Angel. This hotel is unique and the service and atmosphere is fabulous. We would love to stay at Hacienda again whenever an opportunity arises… As to safety, I felt no concerns at all while at Punta Mita or in Puerto Vallarta. I walked the beach in Punta Mita, and also walked into the small town and felt perfectly safe. In Puerto Vallarta, I went for a run on the malecon by myself although there were many others out running and walking early in the day. I also wandered the streets on my own and again had no concerns at all for my safety. Once again, I would like to thank you for all of the wonderful assistance you provided to us in making recommendations and arrangements. Your service was very much appreciated. Gracias.—J. Cairns, CAN. March, 2009.
We had a wonderful vacation week at Casa de Mita. The hotel rooms, food, and staff were all outstanding. There were many small homey touches, including the friendly pets, which made our visit especially relaxing. Owner Marc allowed us to use a hotel car for a side trip which was very helpful and much appreciated. The beach was virtually empty on non-holiday weekdays and very private. We look forward to returning to Casa de Mita for future family vacations!—M. Harper, USA. February, 2009.
Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to stay at El Tamarindo. What an amazing experience; that is exactly how I imagine paradise. First, the location is unbelievable. The beach is beautiful, the jungle is lush, and everything is set away from everything so much that you can really feel still and renewed. One of the unexpected but delightful surprised at El Tamarindo is the wildlife. It is abundant and fascinating. There were every color of butterflies, and they floated around looking like they are on vacation, too. After sunset, we were sitting on the beach and all of a sudden dozens of hermit crabs came out of the sand. We even saw coati, which are the funniest & strangest “mapaches” I have ever seen—like little raccoon monkeys. The facilities were amazing as well. The room was luxurious and spacious, as well as extremely clean. One entire wall opens onto the private patio, which I personally love. The private pool was such a treat—what a great way to relax. There were so many places to take naps and read books we never wanted to leave. But when we did manage to make it to the restaurant, we were delighted as well. The pool, restaurant, and beach amenities are wonderful and detailed. The food and cocktails were all excellent—particularly the house margarita (margarita de tamarindo). I have been telling my friends and family about El Tamarindo and they are all ready to head to Mexico. Thank you so much to yourself and everyone at Mexico Boutique Hotels for our amazing and generous gift.— L. Alcala (Winner of the 2008 MBH Stay & Win contest) February, 2009.
It´s like paradise. Wonderful garden, nice and helpful staff. El Chante Spa Hotel—H. Manfred. Germany. February, 2009.
We had a delightful stay in Los Juaninos an in Morelia… We had a large comfortable room, furnished with good taste with a magnificent view on Morelia s cathedral and Plaza de Armas. The staff was charming and very helpful in every way. With its parks, museums and good restaurants, Morelia is very interesting city to visit. We only wish we could have stayed longer. We highly recommend a visit to Morelia and a stay at the Los Juaninos to Mexico lovers and first visitors to Mexico… We will be back.—G. Benoit, Canada. February, 2009.
Great New Room, on the former terrace. Thank you for the great fun & service. See you next year. Clarum 101—A.Van Buuren, Netherlands. January, 2009.
We had a wonderful room; there was great style throughout the building, and we enjoyed the welcome cocktail!La Mansion de los Sueños —C. Starnes, Italy. Jan, 2009.
La Quinta Luna was our favorite in décor – spacious, uncluttered yet full of character. I wish we had stayed more than one night…—C. Starnes, Italy. Jan, 2009.
