Q. How much commission do you pay Travel Agents?
A. MBH member hotels usually offer 10% commission on room only to Travel Agents. Some hotels may offer more – and very few, less – so please inquire when booking.
Q. How prompt are you in paying commissions?
A. Very! MBH works with FEI Financial in the US to make sure all foreign agency commissions are paid promptly. We guarantee it!
Q. Are agent rates available at all properties?
A. Agent rates are available at all MBH properties. These may vary according to season and availability, please contact us for details.
Q. Any special tricks for agents to reserve MBH properties?
A. Just call us and identify yourself as travel agent!! We have info on 46 properties and can help find the perfect fit for your clients. You look good, we look good and the client is happy.
Q. Anything else we need to know?
A. YES. MBH offers concierge assistance across separate hotels in multiple destinations. Most importantly for agents, our MBH Concierge is also in charge of travel agency follow-ups and ensuring they receive commissions within 30 days of your client leaving the property. MBH wants agents to feel at ease booking their clients through us, knowing both they and their guests will be well taken care of.
Agency clients benefit from the Hotel Concierge’s attention to detail, which begins one week prior to their arrival. MBH sends the agent a welcome e-mail for guests to confirm the details of their reservation and the services and amenities offered by the property; provides a recommended packing list, as well as a weather forecast and information on recommended tours and/or activities in the area. They also inquire about any special celebrations, if they would like to book anything in advance or, simply, how they can be of assistance. Agents have a choice of forwarding the e-mail as is or personalizing it with their own special touch. Afterwards, a follow-up e-mail is sent for your clients to invite them to share their comments on the hotel’s MBH webpage.
